Drawing inspiration from the South Indian tradition of Kolam—a daily ritual involving the creation of geometric patterns on the ground or doorstep to symbolize auspiciousness and welcome prosperity—I designed a unique deck of playing cards that blends this art form with the intricate motifs of Celtic knots. The design is based on a Kolam pattern that my mother often creates at our doorstep, while the color palette reflects the earthy tones and depth characteristic of Celtic art.
